This 1997 Jeep Cherokee is finished in Emerald Green Pearl over Mist Gray cloth and is powered by a 4.0-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes 15″ alloy wheels, fog lights, a roof rack, a receiver hitch, cruise control, air conditioning, and a cassette stereo. The truck has been registered in New York since new and was acquired by the seller on BaT in August 2021. This XJ Cherokee has 12k miles and is offered with a clean Carfax report, a removed set of four wheels with tires, and a clean New York title in the seller’s name.

The body is finished in Emerald Green Pearl (PGF) with black-painted bumpers and black trim. Additional exterior details include fog lights, power-adjustable mirrors, a roof rack, a rear wiper, and a receiver hitch in addition to a tinted windshield, front windows, and darker rear privacy glass. The liftgate struts were replaced in 2021.

Five-spoke 15″ alloy wheels wear 225/75 Milestar Touring SLE tires. A full-size spare wheel is mounted in the cargo area, and the seller states that a removed set of wheels with Goodyear Wrangler RT/S tires will accompany the truck. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes.

The cabin features front buckets and a rear bench upholstered in Mist Gray “Gilmore” cloth and vinyl with color-coordinated carpets and trim. Equipment includes cruise control, air conditioning, and an AM/FM cassette stereo.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The digital odometer has 12k miles, approximately 60 of which were added by the seller.

The 4.0-liter inline-six was factory-rated at 190 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque. The oil was changed and the coolant was flushed under current ownership according to the seller.

Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a Command-Trac dual-range transfer case. The seller reports that two quarts of the transmission fluid was drained and replaced. Corrosion is noted on underbody components, additional photos of which are provided in the gallery below.

Manufacturer’s literature and two keys are included in the sale along with the aforementioned wheels and tires and a window sticker that lists factory colors, options, and a total suggested retail price of $24,060.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in New York with a gap in entries between 2015 and 2022.
