This Land Rover Defender 90 NAS got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1997 Land Rover Defender 90 is a 2-owner factory station wagon that was purchased by the seller out of Oklahoma 16 years ago and used as a daily driver for five years before becoming a weekend adventure vehicle. Power comes from a factory 4.0-liter V8 mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission, and modifications for offroad use include suspension, driveline, and gearing upgrades along with underbody protection, a winch, and more. The seller has added 70k of the 101k indicated miles and offers this D90 with a clean Carfax report, OEM wheels and sill guards, manuals and books, and a clean Colorado title.

Offroad-specific exterior upgrades include an ARB front bumper, Warn 8,000 lb. winch with synthetic line, Hella HID driving lights, ShrockWorks swing-away tire carrier with Hi-Lift jack and jerry can mounts, Mantec rock sliders, and diamond-plate rear corner guards. Gulf Coast Rovers 15″ steel wheels wear 35″x12.5″ Goodyear MTR tires showing plenty of remaining tread.

Coniston Green paint is reported to have received no touch-up or repairs while with the seller, and photos of the body show occasional dings and scratches. The seller reports that the aftermarket rock sliders have some rust but can be replaced with the factory sill guards, which will go with the truck.

Interior trim is said to remain largely stock with grey vinyl buckets, four side-facing jump seats, and grey carpeting. Rubber OEM floor mats are up front and a storage net is suspended over the cargo area. The headliner is reported to be in good overall condition, but is noted to be peeling away in the front of the cab.  The speedometer is said to read approximately 10% fast due to the regeared differentials.

A custom onboard air setup repurposes the air conditioning compressor to run power tools or inflate the tires when offroad and includes a frame-mounted tank under the passenger seat as well as a pressure gauge in the lower dash. Only the internal parts for the air conditioning unit were removed for the conversion according to the seller. The D90 is equipped with a CB radio, bumper-mounted Firestik antenna, Alpine stereo, JBL amp, Memphis Audio speakers, and a subwoofer.

Power is sent to all four wheels from a Rover 4.0L V8 through a ZF 4HP22 4-speed automatic transmission and LT230 transfer case with manually-locking center differential. The seller reports oil leaks from between the motor and transmission as well as from the axle knuckles. Oil changes have been reportedly been performed every 3,000 miles using non-synthetic oil. A new alternator has been installed, and a recent compression test reportedly revealed all eight cylinders to be within factory specs.

Spare shock towers and trailing arms will also be included.
