This Land Rover Discovery got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1997 Land Rover Discovery is a Charleston Green example that was sold new in Arizona and remained with its original owner until February 2018. The truck is powered by an aluminum 4.0L Rover V8 paired to a 4-speed automatic transmission and full-time 4WD system. Additional equipment includes the Stainless Steel Package, which supplies a brush guard, driving lights, running boards and side panel trim. The head gaskets were reportedly replaced prior to the seller’s ownership, and a fluid service was performed in early 2018. This Discovery is offered with a clean Carfax report and a clear Arizona title.

Charleston Green paint is contrasted by the bright brush guard, rocker steps, and side molding trim provided by the optional Stainless Steel Package, which also supplied factory driving lights and a spare wheel cover. The seller notes minor finish flaws as detailed in the gallery below. A nick is present in the passenger side headlight, rub marks are shown on side moldings, and a dent is noted on the underside of one side step.

The Discovery carried over the frame and suspension from the 100″-wheelbase Range Rover Classic. Stock 5-spoke alloy wheels are fitted with Michelin tires which the seller notes have nearly full tread. Door jambs are shown up close in photos along with other common corrosion areas. The seller notes intact cadmium plating on the door hardware and says that the doors close smoothly without bouncing.

This example received new head gaskets at an unknown point per the seller, who notes markings indicating the appropriate torque sequence for reassembly. The seller performed a fluid service shortly after acquiring the truck, and notes that factory cosmoline remains visible in the engine bay.
