This Acura Integra Type R got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1998 Acura Integra Type R is #34 of approximately 1,002 examples built for the US market for the model year. It is finished in white over red cloth and microsuede and is powered by a 1.8-liter B18C5 inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. The car was fitted with a 1320 Performance exhaust header, PIC coilovers, Eibach sway bars, and Recaro front seats, while factory equipment includes a limited-slip differential, white 15″ seven-spoke alloy wheels, a rear wing, air conditioning, a CD stereo, and power windows and locks. The vehicle spent time in New York, New Jersey, and Alabama and was acquired by the seller in 2021. This Integra Type R is now offered at no reserve with service records, manufacturer’s literature, spare and removed parts, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Alabama title in the seller’s name.
All US-market 1998 Type R models were finished in Championship White (NH-0), and this example is said to have been repainted in 2018. It features a front lip spoiler, a raised rear wing, a power antenna, Type R graphics, and red Acura badging. The rear window wiper was removed, and the seller notes a ceramic coating was applied to the exterior in 2022.
White 15″ seven-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with 205/50 Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R tires. The suspension was modified with PIC coilovers and Eibach front and rear sway bars. Removed ABS components are included in the sale.
The cabin was fitted with Recaro front seats upholstered in red microsuede and cloth, and amenities include air conditioning, a CD stereo, a digital clock, and power windows and locks. A rear strut brace was installed, and the carpeting was replaced in 2018 according to the seller. The passenger seat is blemished, and the condition of the headliner is shown in the photo gallery.
A plaque on the center armrest identifies this Type R as #0034 built for the model year.
The MOMO leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a replacement 170-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an 8,400-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 142k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. The Carfax report lists an odometer reading of 160,944 miles in September 2019, and total mileage is unknown. The replaced gauge cluster is included in the sale.
The 1.8-liter B18C5 DOHC inline-four features VTEC variable valve timing and was factory rated at 195 horsepower and 130 lb-ft of torque. It was reportedly refreshed in 2018 and was modified with a 1320 Performance tubular header, a Koyorad aluminum radiator, and a Spoon Sports air filter.
Power is sent to the front wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Corrosion is present on underside components, additional photos of which are provided in the gallery.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in New York, New Jersey, and Alabama.
