This 1998 Kawasaki ZX-7R was acquired by the seller in February 2001 and is powered by a 748cc DOHC inline-four paired with a six-speed transmission. The bike is finished in green with white and black graphics and is equipped with an aluminum twin-spar frame, an inverted cartridge fork, Uni-Trak rear suspension, 17″ alloy wheels, triple disc brakes, clip-on handlebars, and a side stand. Modifications include an Akrapovič four-into-one exhaust system, aftermarket LED turn signals, and a green-accented drive chain. Work in May 2023 included overhauling the carburetors, changing the fluids, and replacing the fuel filter and fuel pump. This ZX-7R Ninja shows 7k miles and is now offered at no reserve with its removed parts, a set of service manuals, a rear stand, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The bike is finished in green with white and black graphics over an aluminum twin-spar frame. Additional equipment includes a Zero Gravity clear windscreen, a racing-style tail section, a Toby race steering damper, twin headlights, an upper fairing brace, a solo saddle, rearsets, and a side stand. The fairing-mounted mirrors and the license-plate bracket have been removed.
Three-spoke 17″ aluminum alloy wheels are finished in black and mounted with Dunlop Sportmax tires. Braking is handled by dual six-piston Tokico calipers and 320mm discs up front along with a two-piston caliper and 230mm disc at the rear. The brake fluid was flushed in May 2023. Adjustable suspension consists of a 43mm inverted cartridge fork as well as a piggyback-reservoir monoshock mounted to the Uni-Trak swingarm and linkage.
Clip-on handlebars are mounted beneath the upper triple clamp which fronts a 180-mph speedometer and an aluminum-framed tachometer with a 12,500-rpm redline along with a coolant-temperature gauge. A row of lights indicating oil pressure, turn signals, neutral gear selection, and high beams reside below the tachometer. The inset five-digit odometer shows 7k miles, approximately 3k of which were ridden by the seller. A Timex digital watch and a LED digital gear selection indicator have been fitted.
The liquid-cooled 748cc DOHC inline-four features four valves per cylinder as well as an electric starter, electronic ignition, and an Akrapovič four-into-one exhaust system. The exhaust system and a K&N high-flow air filter were installed, and the carburetors re-jetted, before the bike was dyno-tuned in September 2005, the results of which can be viewed in the gallery. Work in May 2023 included overhauling the carburetors, replacing the spark plugs, fuel pump, and fuel filter, and changing the coolant, engine oil, and clutch fluid. A magnetic oil drain plug has been fitted.
Power is transferred to the rear wheel through a hydraulically operated multi-plate wet clutch, a six-speed transmission, and an EK green-accented drive chain. AFAM front and rear sprockets have been fitted.
The removed exhaust system, the rear license plate and turn signal bracket, a passenger pillion, body panels, a tool kit, the removed fuel tank, a set of service manuals, and a rear stand are included in the sale.
