This Land Rover Discovery got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1998 Land Rover Discovery LE was sold new by Hennessy Land Rover in Alpharetta, Georgia, and later spent time in Arizona, where it was acquired by the selling dealer in 2023. Finished in Chawton White over beige leather upholstery, the truck is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 linked to a four-speed automatic transmission, a locking center differential, and a dual-range transfer case. Features include dual sunroofs, roof rails, a receiver hitch, 16″ wheels, heated power-adjustable front seats, third-row jump seats, cruise control, air conditioning, woodgrain trim, and a cassette stereo. This Discovery LE shows 105k miles and is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, a vehicle recovery kit, seat covers, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Arizona title.
The truck is finished in Chawton White, and exterior features include dual sunroofs, fog lights, headlight washers, mud flaps, roof rails, tinted windows, black bumpers and belt-line trim, alpine windows, a receiver hitch, a rear step, and a rear window wiper. The selling dealer notes scratches on the left-front and the right-rear doors. The windshield was replaced in 2020.
Five-spoke 16″ wheels are mounted with 235/70 Yokohama YK-HTX tires, and a spare tire is mounted to the swing-out tailgate beneath a cover. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs. The front and rear brake pads and the front shocks were reportedly replaced in 2019.
The cabin features heated power-adjustable front captain’s chairs and a rear bench upholstered in beige leather along with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Woodgrain trim accents the center stack and doors, while additional amenities include dual front airbags, cruise control, air conditioning, and a cassette stereo.
The cargo area features two inward-facing jump seats trimmed in beige leather as well as an all-weather cargo mat and a cargo-area cover.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 135-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 105k miles, approximately 250 of which were added by the selling dealer.
The 4.0-liter Rover V8 was factory rated at 182 horsepower and 233 lb-ft of torque, which is delivered to all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission, a locking center differential, and a dual-range transfer case. The head gaskets are said to have been replaced in 2015, while the fuel pump, water pump, coolant tank, pinion seal, and fuel filter were replaced in 2019, at which time the engine timing cover and oil pan were resealed. The power steering box and hoses were reportedly replaced in 2020.
