This BMW E36 M3 got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1999 BMW M3 coupe is finished in Fern Green Metallic over Modena Natur leather and shows 140k miles. The second owner acquired the car when it had 27k miles and the seller purchased it from them five years ago. In 2014 at 117,500 miles, the seller had Sandia BMW in Albuquerque install a replacement 50k-mile S52 3.2-liter inline-six, which is paired to the original 5-speed manual transmission. Other than the newer engine, this E36 is described as stock throughout, and comes with service records since 27k miles. Additional servicing from Sandia BMW includes a new radiator, camshaft sensor, starter, and sunroof motor, while the prior owner reportedly had the cooling system replaced. This M3 is now offered with two keys and fobs, a clear Carfax report, Bentley repair book, owner’s manual, BMW New Owner cassette, and a clean New Mexico title in the seller’s name.

Outside, this M3 is believed to retain all of its factory paint and panels, which show a few flaws and fading in certain areas as highlighted in the photo gallery below. The body itself appears straight, and the seller states that the car has never been involved in an accident. A new battery, hood latch, and trunk light were installed in February 2016.

The original 17″ M Contour II alloy wheels show several nicks and wear matching Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires. Each corner is highlighted in the photo gallery below, along with the trunk area which contains a full-sized spare, tool kit, split-folding rear seat, and OEM 6-disc CD changer.

The replacement S52 3.2-liter inline-six reportedly had 50k miles when it was installed in 2014 roughly 22,500 miles ago. It has been kept stock, and recent servicing includes a new radiator and fan shroud, camshaft sensor, and starter. According to the previous owner’s handwritten service log covering the car from 27k to 110k miles, the cooling system was also replaced before the seller’s purchase. The seller has continued to maintain the car at Sandia BMW, and all receipts from her ownership will accompany the sale.

The accident-free Carfax reports that this E36 was sold new in Florida, and was then brought to New Mexico by way of Texas in 2002. It has remained in-state since, and an impressive 51 service history records are also displayed.
