This Porsche 996 GT3 got away, but there are more like it here.

This 2000 Porsche 911 GT3 is one of 1,858 first-series examples produced in total and was sold new in Japan. Finished in Biarritz White, the car is configured in left-hand drive and is equipped with the track-focused Clubsport package, consisting of a factory roll cage, Recaro seats, racing harnesses, a fire extinguisher, and a single-mass flywheel. Power is provided by a 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six mated to a six-speed manual transaxle. Modifications include pinned coolant lines, Öhlins suspension, and Guard LSD clutch plates. An engine-out service was reportedly performed shortly after the selling dealer’s acquisition in 2017, and more recent work included a fluid service and inspection. This 996.1 GT3 now shows approximately 98k kilometers (~61k miles) and is offered in North Vancouver, Canada, with a car cover, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, clean Carfax report, removed parts, owner’s manuals, service records, and British Columbia registration.

Porsche’s line of GT3 road cars debuted in 1999 with the release of the 996.1 model, which was offered worldwide except for North America. Each was built without a sunroof and featured manually adjustable side mirrors, a fixed rear wing, and additional aerodynamic elements to increase downforce. This example is finished in Biarritz White (Z2) and recently had its front hood and rear spoiler refinished. Factory Litronic headlamp assemblies have been installed in place of the original units. Paint meter readings are shown in the photo gallery and indicate thicknesses of 7 to 15 mils.

Staggered-width 18″ factory wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R tires, sized 225/40 up front and 285/30 out back. H&R wheel spacers have been fitted along with Öhlins Road & Track coilovers and GT3 Cup rear toe links and locking plates. A four-wheel alignment, ride-height adjustment, and brake fluid flush were performed by the selling dealer in 2017.

Hard-back Recaro seats are upholstered in black cloth and feature Porsche crests and harness passthroughs. The driver seat has been fitted with a Brey-Krause lowering bracket for increased headroom, and red Schroth racing harnesses are anchored to the black roll cage. Additional interior equipment includes air conditioning, power windows, a radio delete pocket, and factory fire extinguisher. The seller notes scratches to the center console and door sill plates.

A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames an 8k-rpm tachometer and 300-km/h speedometer, as well as gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and voltage. The digital odometer shows just under 98k kilometers (~61k miles), approximately 2,500 of which have been added by the selling dealer.

The 3.6-liter Mezger M96/76 flat-six developed 360 horsepower at 7,200 rpm and 273 lb-ft of torque at 5,000 rpm when new. The clutch, rear main seal, front crankshaft seal, timing chain tensioners, water pump, oil cooler, ignition coils, and mass airflow sensor were replaced during an engine-out service in 2017. Additional work included pinning the coolant fittings and recharging the A/C system. A fluid service and general inspection were recently performed in preparation of the sale, and a DME readout is pictured in the gallery below.
