This Chevrolet Silverado GMT800 (1999-2007) got away, but there are more like it here.
This 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LS is a regular-cab short-bed pickup that was initially sold in Texas and remained registered in the state with its original owner until 2021. It moved to Illinois and was acquired by the seller on BaT in October 2022. Work under current ownership is said to have consisted of modifying the 5.3-liter Vortec V8 with a Brian Tooley Racing camshaft and lifter kit, a cold air intake, Texas Speed tubular headers, and a custom 3″ exhaust as well as installing a Trailblazer SS torque converter in the four-speed automatic transmission and fitting 20″ Weld wheels. The truck is finished in Light Pewter Metallic over Graphite cloth and equipped with chrome bumpers, a body-color fiberglass tonneau cover, a carpeted bedliner, a receiver hitch, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, and a Pioneer touchscreen infotainment system. This Silverado is offered at no reserve with a clean Carfax Report, and a clean Alabama title in the seller’s name.
Finished in Light Pewter Metallic, the truck features chrome bumpers and mirror caps, tinted windows, a body-color fiberglass tonneau cover, a Bedrug carpeted bedliner, and a receiver hitch. A close-up photo presented in the gallery shows a scratch on the driver door.
Black 20″ Weld Ventura 6 wheels feature machined accents and polished lips and are mounted with 255/50 front and 295/45 rear Toyo Proxes ST III tires. The stance is achieved with dropped spindles and rear lowering springs and shackles, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.
The split bench seat is upholstered in Graphite cloth and amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and locks, and a Pioneer touchscreen infotainment system.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and supplementary gauges for fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The digital odometer indicates 27k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.3-liter Vortec V8 was reportedly modified in June 2023 with the installation of the following parts:
- Brian Tooley Racing Truck Norris camshaft and lifter kit
- Cold air intake
- Texas Speed tubular headers
- Custom 3″ exhaust with Magnaflow muffler
The catalytic converters have been removed.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission reportedly fitted with a torque converter that was produced for a Trailblazer SS. An auxiliary transmission oil cooler is fitted as part of the Trailering Package.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Texas, Illinois, and Alabama.
