2001 Porsche Boxster S 6-Speed

This 2001 Porsche Boxster S is finished in Slate Grey Metallic over black full leather and is powered by a 3.2-liter flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes the Sport Touring and Power Seat Packages as well as a black soft top, 18″ Turbo-look wheels, xenon headlights, automatic climate control, and an aftermarket stereo. The car has spent its life in California and Nevada, and it was acquired by the seller in June 2021. Subsequent service has included an IMS-bearing retrofit as well as replacing the rear main seal, drive belt, head covers, engine mounts, timing chains, tensioners, and spark plugs. This Boxster S has 92k miles and is now offered with recent service records, a DME report, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Nevada title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Slate Grey Metallic (L6B4) and features a black soft top. Additional features include xenon headlights, a speed-activated rear spoiler, side air intakes, and roll hoops. Imperfections include a crack in the windshield and a ding in the rear trunk. The seller recommends replacing the front hood shocks.

Silver 18″ Turbo-look wheels are wrapped in Accelera tires. Braking is handled by red four-piston calipers fitted over vented rotors at all four corners.

The power-adjustable seats are upholstered in black leather that extends to the instrument binnacle and doors. Gray mats protect black carpets, and features include an aftermarket stereo, a wind deflector, cruise control, and automatic climate control. The sun-visor mirror covers are not present.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a central tachometer, a 180-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 92k miles, approximately 400 of which were added under current ownership.

The mid-mounted 3.2-liter flat-six was factory rated at 250 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque. The engine was removed and the IMS bearing was replaced in January 2022, when the rear main seal, drive belt, oil pressure sender, head covers, engine mounts, timing chains, tensioners, cam end plug seals, and spark plugs were also replaced. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. Additional photographs of the underside are shown in the gallery below.
