This 2002 Chevrolet Silverado was initially delivered to Star Chevrolet of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, and has remained registered in the state since new. The truck is an extended-cab fleetside example finished in dark red metallic over tan cloth upholstery and is powered by a 5.3-liter Vortec V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes the Z71 Package, 16” aluminum wheels, chrome side steps and bed rails, a factory CD/cassette stereo, power-operated front seats, air conditioning, and cruise control. This GMT800 pickup has 21k miles and is now offered by the selling dealer with manufacturer’s literature, a window sticker, a Carfax report, and a clean Pennsylvania title.
The truck is finished in Dark Carmine Red Metallic with chrome bumpers, running boards, and trim. Exterior equipment includes tinted glass, fog lights, front tow hooks, bed rails, and mudguards as well as Z71 decals. An accident is noted on the Carfax report from November of 2004 with “minor” damage to the rear. Additional photos of the condition of the exterior are provided in the gallery.
Cast aluminum 16” wheels are mounted with 245/75 Firestone Steeltex A/T tires, and a full-size spare is stowed beneath the bed. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with an electronic rear-brake proportioning valve. The Z71 off-road package added larger dampers as well as skid plates to the underbody. The seller notes that the lettering on the tires is cracked.
The cabin features tan cloth upholstery on the power-adjustable reclining front seats and a folding rear bench. Amenities include air conditioning, a Delco CD/cassette stereo, cruise control, keyless entry, a locking center console, and power-operated mirrors, windows, and locks.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, voltage, and coolant temperature. The digital odometer indicates 21k miles.
The 5.3-liter Vortec V8 was factory rated at 285 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a 3.73:1 rear gear. The transmission features a Tow/Haul mode actuated in the cabin.
The window sticker lists factory colors and equipment as well as a total vehicle price of $32,681. An owner’s manual and two keys and fobs are also included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned accident in November 2004 and lists history in Pennsylvania from 2002 to the most current entry in December 2012
