This Volkswagen Golf/Rabbit Cabriolet got away, but there are more like it here.
This 2002 Volkswagen Cabrio GLX spent time in Florida and New York before being acquired by the seller in 2023. Subsequent work reportedly included refreshing the brake system and replacing the muffler, radiator, spark plugs, cabin air filter, engine air filter, fuel filter, coolant expansion tank, evap canister, and the upper intake manifold gasket. The car is finished in Marlin Blue Pearl over beige leather and is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four mated to a four-speed automatic transaxle. Equipment includes 14″ wheels, a power-operated blue soft top, a beige top boot, anti-lock disc brakes, heated front seats, air conditioning, and a factory cassette stereo. This Cabrio has 40k miles and is now offered by the seller at no reserve with an owner’s manual, a Carfax report, and a clean Maryland title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Marlin Blue Pearl and is equipped with a replacement power-operated blue soft top and a beige top boot. The Carfax report shows “minor damage” to the front of the vehicle in a September 2019 entry, though no further details are provided. The seller reports the left front fender has been repainted and rust is present on one of the front fenders. Additional exterior blemishes include front bumper alignment issues, dents on the left rear wheel arch, and touched-up paint, scratches, and dents on the right side of the vehicle.
Factory 14″ alloy wheels have visible curb damage and are mounted with 195/60 General Altimax RT43 tires. The seller states the front and rear brake rotors and pads were replaced along with the ABS module, parking brake cables, and rear calipers in 2023.
The heated front seats and the rear bench are trimmed in beige leather upholstery. Appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, a Volkswagen-branded cassette stereo. The cabin air filter was reportedly replaced in 2023. The front seat upholstery has visible wear and the left outer seat trim is cracked.
The leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, a digital clock, a tachometer, and supplementary gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 40k miles.
The 2.0-liter inline-four was factory rated at 115 horsepower and 122 lb-ft of torque. The upper intake manifold gasket, spark plugs, coolant expansion tank, and evap canister were reportedly replaced along with the air filter, fuel filter, and radiator in 2023.
Power is sent to the front wheels through a four-speed automatic transaxle. The seller reports the muffler was replaced in 2023.
The Carfax report notes the aforementioned damage report and lists history in Florida, New York, and Maryland.
