This 2003 Acura RSX Type-S is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four that has been modified with a Hondata KPro tuning kit, a Skunk2 intake manifold, Hybrid Racing cold-air intake, K-Tuned 70mm throttle body, and an Invidia stainless steel header. Additional modifications include an Invidia Q300 cat-back exhaust, a Mishimoto radiator and fan shroud, a high-flow catalytic converter, an RSX A-Spec sport suspension kit, Eibach sway bar and end links, front and rear spoilers, a rear diffuser, a matte-black vinyl roof wrap, and bronze-finished 17″ wheels. The car is finished in Redondo Red Pearl over black leather upholstery and is equipped with a six-speed manual transaxle, a power sunroof, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a Kenwood head unit with navigation. It has been registered in Texas since new and was acquired by the seller in 2020. This DC5 RSX Type-S has 122k miles and is now offered at no reserve with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Redondo Red Pearl and features an aftermarket rear wing, rear diffuser, and front lip spoiler. Tint has been added to the windows and a matte black vinyl wrap has been applied to the roof, reportedly due to clear coat failure. The seller states the mirrors and side skirts should be repainted and notes numerous dings and scrapes around the body. The bronze-finished 17″ wheels were sourced from a 2006 RSX and are mounted with 215/95 Falken Azenis tires that were installed in 2021. An RSX A-Spec sport suspension kit was installed in 2018, and additional suspension modifications include a Tanabe front strut tower brace and an Eibach sway bar and endlinks. Previously trimmed in Titanium, the cabin was fitted with replacement black leather front sport seats and a rear bench, along with a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpeting. A Kenwood Excelon head unit with navigation has been installed and is wired to a SounDigital amplifier and JBL speakers. An aftermarket shift knob has been added and the removed factory unit is included in the sale. The seller notes the passenger seat bracket needs to be welded, and wear in the interior is shown in the gallery. The air conditioning compressor and high pressure hose are said to have been replaced in 2023.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames white-dial instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, supplementary gauges, and a tachometer with a 7,900-rpm redline. The digital odometer indicates 122k miles, approximately 6k of which were added under current ownership.
The 2.0-liter K20A2 inline-four features dual chain-driven overhead camshafts and i-VTEC variable valve timing. Modifications consist of a Hondata KPRo tuning kit, a Skunk2 intake manifold, a Hybrid Racing cold-air intake, an Invidia stainless steel header, a K-Tuned 70mm throttle body, and a Mishimoto radiator and fan shroud kit. The idle control valve was replaced in 2019 and a replacement alternator was installed in 2021. The seller notes a chirping and whining sound during cold starts.
Power is sent to the front wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. An Exedy clutch and Luk flywheel were installed in 2023. The car is equipped with an Invidia Q300 cat-back stainless steel exhaust and a high-flow catalytic converter.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Texas since new.
