This 2003 Chevrolet Silverado SS is an Extended Cab 4×4 pickup that is powered by a turbocharged 6.6-liter LQ9 V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. It has been driven 17k miles since being acquired new by the seller, who was the previous Director of Sports Nutrition for the Corvette Racing team. Modifications are said to include a Lunati crankshaft, forged JE pistons, custom-ported cylinder heads, a custom-ground camshaft, dual fuel pumps, an aftermarket fuel injection system, Baer disc brakes, and a custom 3″ exhaust system. The truck is finished in blue over gray leather upholstery and features a limited-slip differential, all-wheel drive, a body-color tonneau cover, chrome 20″ wheels, a carpeted bedliner, a receiver hitch, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, and a factory CD stereo wired to a Bose audio system. This Silverado SS was previously listed on BaT in May 2023 and is now offered with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Michigan title in the seller’s name.

The truck is finished in Arrival Blue Metallic and features a Fleetside bed with a Gaylord’s Lids fiberglass tonneau cover as well as a BedRug carpeted liner. Additional exterior details consist of body-color bumpers, heated and power-adjustable mirrors, tinted rear windows, clamshell rear doors, SS badges, a sliding rear window, and a receiver hitch with an eight-pin trailer plug.

Chrome 20″ five-spoke wheels wear 275/55 Goodyear Eagle tires, and a spare is mounted under the bed. Stopping power is provided by Baer disc brakes with cross-drilled and slotted rotors measuring 15″ up front and 14″ out back. The seller notes that a rear overload leaf was removed from each spring pack and that the front torsion bars were adjusted to lower the ride height by 3/4″.

The Extended Cab cabin features heated and power-adjustable front bucket seats and a rear bench seat upholstered in Dark Charcoal leather with embroidered SS logos on the front seat headrests. Interior amenities include a CD stereo linked to a Bose sound system, a center console, cruise control, automatic climate control, and power windows and door locks.

A leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil temperature, oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. A boost setting switch and AutoMeter Phantom gauges for fuel pressure and boost pressure have been added to the overhead console. The digital odometer indicates 17k miles.

The truck is powered by an LQ9 V8 that has been reportedly modified to displace 6.6 liters and was built by Kurt Urban Engines of Clayton, North Carolina, in conjunction with Wheel to Wheel Powertrain of Madison Heights, Michigan. It features:

Dyno test results and records detailing the build are provided in the gallery below. The battery was replaced in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to all four wheels through a Rossler Built 4L65E four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip rear differential with 4.10 gears. The custom 3″ exhaust system features a Flowmaster muffler.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists one-owner history in Michigan and California.
