This 2003 Volvo S40 remained registered with one owner in Kansas and Florida prior to the selling dealer’s June 2023 acquisition and it now has 41k miles. Power is provided by a turbocharged 1.9-liter inline-four mated to a five-speed automatic transaxle and the car is finished in black over Taupe leather upholstery. Factory options included the Climate and Premium packages, which added headlight wipers and washers, a power sunroof, Dynamic Stability Assistance (DSA), heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, woodgrain trim, and an upgraded sound system connected to an AM/FM/CD/cassette stereo. Additional equipment includes 15″ ten-spoke alloy wheels, power-adjustable heated side mirrors, cruise control, and air conditioning. This S40 is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, two keys, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New Jersey title.
The car was factory-finished in Black Sapphire Metallic and it was optioned with the Climate and Premium Packages, which added headlight wipers and washers as well as a power-operated glass sunroof. Â Additional exterior details include daytime running lights, power-adjustable heated side mirrors, and bright door handles and window trim. The seller dealer states that various body panels were repainted under previous ownership and photos provided in the gallery show chipped paint, dents, and scratches on lower portions of the bodywork.
The 15″ Stellar ten-spoke alloy wheels are finished in silver and mounted with 195/60 Firestone FR710 tires that show production-date codes from 2015. Stopping power is provided by anti-lock disc brakes at each wheel, with ventilated rotors fitted at the front. The Climate Package added Dynamic Stability Assistance (DSA), which meters engine output when wheelspin is detected.
The heated front bucket seats are upholstered in Taupe leather that extends to the door panels and the rear bench. Woodgrain trim accents the cabin and amenities include color-coordinated carpeted floor mats, cruise control, air conditioning, and a factory AM/FM/CD/cassette stereo. Photos provided in the gallery show separating leather upholstery on the front-right door in addition to stains on the headliner, which is sagging in certain areas.
The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature, and a pair of multifunction displays. The digital odometer indicates 41k miles.
The turbocharged 1.9-liter inline-four features dual overhead camshafts and variable valve timing and was factory rated at 170 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. The selling dealer replaced the purge valve and leak detection pump in June 2023.
Power is routed to the front wheels through a five-speed automatic transaxle. Corrosion is visible on various underside components.
Manufacturer’s literature and two keys are included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration history in Kansas, Florida, and New Jersey.
