30k-Mile 2004 Porsche Boxster S 550 Anniversary Edition

This 2004 Porsche Boxster S 550 Anniversary Edition is one of 500 examples produced for the US market and is finished in GT Silver over dark gray leather. Power is from a 3.2-liter flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle, and special factory features include higher engine output, a lowered ride height, Seal Gray 18″ wheels with 5mm spacers, four-piston aluminum brake calipers, chrome model badging, silver interior trim, a short shifter, and chrome-ringed instrumentation. Fluid and air filter changes, installation of a GBox detent pin, and replacement of the tires are said to have taken place in the past year. This Boxster shows 30k miles and is offered by the selling dealer on behalf of its current owner with factory literature, new uninstalled brake pads, a clean Carfax report, and clean California title.

The body is finished in GT Silver paint and features a black soft top as well as Litronic headlights, body-colored side grilles, and chrome model badging. A protective film has been applied to the front bumper cover and hood, and clear Euro-spec side marker lenses have been fitted. The selling dealer notes a chip on the left quarter panel, paint stress marks on both rear bumperettes, and nicks in the film on the front bumper cover. Slight waviness remains where a dent in the right front rocker panel was recently removed.

Seal Gray 18” Carrera wheels are mounted on stock 5mm spacers and wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact tires showing 2017 date codes. Paint chipping is apparent on several wheels. The 550 Anniversary Edition featured suspension lowered by 10mm from the factory as well as aluminum four-piston brake calipers at all four corners.

The interior is upholstered in full Dark Gray natural leather and features heated sport seats with hard backs finished in GT Silver as well as perforated leather on the handbrake lever, shift boot, padded sport steering wheel, and door pulls. The center console, handbrake, instrument cluster surround, and roll bars also wear GT Silver paint, while the factory short-shift gear lever is topped with aluminum trim. Scuff marks on the painted seat backs are noted from rubbing against the roll bar, but are said to be hidden when the seats are in the driving position.

Chrome trim rings surround factory instrumentation which includes a 180-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7,200-rpm redline. The digital odometer shows just under 30k miles, approximately 5k of which have been added by the current owner.

The 3.2-liter flat-six was factory rated at 264 horsepower and sends power to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. The engine oil, air filter, and transmission fluid are said to have been changed in the past year. The selling dealer states that a GBox detent pin has been fitted to help prevent a common second gear pop-out issue.

The June 2019 Carfax report shows four owners and no accidents or other damage in Illinois and California up to February 2019. Two keys, factory literature, a Porsche-branded car cover, and an uninstalled set of new Hawk HPS brake pads are included in the sale.
