9k-Mile 2005 Chevrolet SSR

This 2005 Chevrolet SSR was purchased new by the current owner at Foothill Ranch Chevrolet in California and was subsequently gifted to their son prior to their reacquisition in 2008, and now has just over 9k miles. It is powered by a 6.0-liter V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential, and it is finished in Smokin’ Asphalt over Ebony leather upholstery. Equipment includes a power-folding hardtop, the 1SB Preferred Equipment Package, satin chrome running boards, 19″ and 20″ five-spoke cast-aluminum wheels, wood-look cargo floor rub strips, a body-color engine cover, a LoJack Early Warning recovery system, auxiliary gauges, a sport suspension, heated power-adjustable twin bucket seats, a CD stereo, remote keyless entry, cruise control, a Bose sound system, and air conditioning. Service in preparation for the sale consisted of changing the oil, flushing the brake fluid, and replacing the battery. This SSR is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner, their spouse, with a cargo net, a window sticker, service records, factory literature, spare parts, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the current owner’s name.

The SSR was built on a modified version of the GMT360 platform shared with the contemporary TrailBlazer SUV, and its styling was inspired by the Chevrolet Advance Design family of trucks. This example is finished in Smokin’ Asphalt with a color-matched hardshell tonneau cover and a power-retractable hardtop. Additional equipment includes flush-mounted halogen headlights bisected by a satin-finished chevron bar as well as flush-mounted taillights, power-operated heated side mirrors, integrated satin chrome running boards, and dual polished exhaust tips. The carpeted cargo bed is accented with wood-look strips. An dent on the hood is visible in the gallery below.

Chrome-finished 19″ and 20″ five-spoke cast-aluminum wheels are mounted with 255/45 front and 295/40 rear Goodyear Eagle tires showing 2004 date codes. The SSR was equipped from the factory with a ZQ8 sport suspension featuring an independent front and five-link solid-axle rear setup with front and rear stabilizer bars. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel ventilated disc brakes. A brake fluid flush was performed in June 2023.

The twin heated and power-adjustable high-back bucket seats are upholstered in Ebony leather and are complemented by a color-coordinated dash, door panels, and carpets. Body-color wraparound trim accents the cabin, while satin chrome trim adorns the dash, center console, and door panels. Amenities include a color-keyed waterfall console as well as an AM/FM/CD stereo, air conditioning, a wind deflector, a LoJack Early Warning recovery system, SSR-branded floor mats, a Bose sound system, and cruise control. A cargo net is included in the sale.

The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames SSR-branded instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. Auxiliary gauges for voltage, torque, and outside temperature are mounted below the center console and feature satin silver-finished bezels. The digital odometer shows just over 9k miles.

The 6.0-liter LS2 V8 wears a body-color engine cover with SSR-branding and was factory rated at 390 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque. The car passed an emissions inspection in June 2023, at which time the battery was replaced and the oil was changed.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential.

The window sticker shows initial delivery to Foothill Ranch Chevrolet in California, along with factory colors, equipment, options, and a total vehicle price of $49,405.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in California.
