This Mercedes-Benz R230 SL got away, but there are more like it here.
This 2005 Mercedes-Benz SL500 is finished in Andradite Green over beige leather and is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission. Features include a power-retractable hardtop, dual-zone automatic climate control, COMAND with navigation, a Bose sound system, and heated multi-contour seats. The car was recently acquired by the selling dealer, and subsequent servicing is said to have included changing the oil and replacing the tires. This SL500 shows 42k miles and is offered at no reserve by the selling dealer in Florida with manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Tennessee title.
The body is finished in Andradite Green Metallic (816) and features include a pop-up rollover bar, bi-xenon headlights with washers, and dual exhaust outlets. The power-retractable hardtop is shown in its raised position below.
Five-spoke 18″ wheels from a Launch Edition R230 are fitted and wear staggered-width Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires that were mounted by the selling dealer. The car is equipped with Active Body Control (ABC) and four-wheel disc brakes with cross-drilled rotors.
The cabin is upholstered in Beige leather (205A) with matching carpeting and Chestnut wood trim on the steering wheel, gear selector, center console, and door panels. Interior features include heated multi-contour seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button start, COMAND with navigation, and a Bose audio system.
The multi-function steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The odometer is reported to show 42k miles.
The 5.0-liter M113 V8 produced 302 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque when new, and drives the rear wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission. The rear crankshaft oil seal was replaced in July 2020, and an oil change was reportedly performed by the selling dealer in September 2020.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration and service history in Florida and Tennessee through its most recent entry in August 2020.
