2005 Volvo S60R 6-Speed

Sold for $25,500 on 4/4/22

This 2005 Volvo S60R has been registered in California since new and was acquired by the current owner in 2020. The car is finished in black over Atacama leather upholstery and is powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-five mated to a six-speed manual transaxle and a Haldex all-wheel-drive system. Additional equipment consists of a Four-C adjustable suspension, a sunroof, bi-xenon headlights with wipers, Brembo brakes, 18″ Pegasus wheels, tinted glass, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated power-adjustable front seats, and a Dolby surround-sound system. Service performed in 2020 included replacement of the timing belt, water pump, serpentine belt, spark plugs, fuel filter, and fluids. This S60R has 55k miles and is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with manufacturer’s literature, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean California title.

This example is finished in Black Sapphire Metallic (452) and is equipped with the Sport Appearance Package which added revised bumper covers, rocker panels, and a rear spoiler. Additional exterior details include a sunroof, bi-xenon headlights with wipers, fog lights, rear parking sensors, and power-adjustable side mirrors. Silver-finished 18″ Pegasus wheels are mounted with 235/40 Kumho Ecsta 4X tires installed in 2019. The R model is equipped with a three-mode Four-C adjustable suspension, Dynamic Stability and Traction Control (DSTC), and four-piston Brembo brake calipers all around. The rear brake discs have been replaced, and curb marks on the rims are shown in the gallery.

The cabin features heated and power-adjustable front seats trimmed in Atacama leather, while silver trim accents the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Equipment includes dual-zone automatic climate control, a factory CD stereo connected to a Dolby Pro-Logic II surround-sound system, and R-branded sill plates.

A multifunction steering wheel frames blue-dial instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 55k miles, approximately 3k of which were added during current ownership.

The turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-five was factory rated at 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque when new. Service in October 2020 is said to have included replacement of the timing belt, water pump, serpentine belt, spark plugs, fuel filter, and fluids.

Power is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a Haldex all-wheel-drive system. The seller notes that one of the exhaust resonators has been removed and replaced with a straight section. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in California. An open manufacturer’s recall is dated September 2021 for a driver airbag remedy.
