This 2006 Acura RSX Type-S was purchased new by the seller from Valencia Acura in California, and now shows 127k miles. It is powered by a replacement 2.4-liter K24A2 inline-four, and additional modifications include a Fujita cold air intake, an Invidia race header and Q300 exhaust system, Hondata ECU software, a Wavetrac limited-slip differential, Progress coilovers and rear sway bar, and Sparco Evo race seats. The car is finished in Nighthawk Black Pearl and is equipped with a six-speed manual transaxle, 17″ alloy wheels, a front tow strap, a sunroof, automatic climate control, and a CD/cassette stereo linked to a Bose sound system. This RSX Type-S is offered with an owner’s manual, window sticker, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Nighthawk Black Pearl (B-92P) and features a front tow strap, a front lip spoiler, power-adjustable side mirrors, side skirts, a sunroof, a rear window wiper, a rear decklid spoiler, and mud guards. Close-up photos presented in the gallery show scuffs and damage to the front and rear bumper covers as well as dings and blemishes in the paint.
Silver-finished 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels have scuffs and are wrapped in 215/45 Hankook Ventus V2 tires. The lowered stance is achieved with adjustable Progress coilovers, and the suspension features K-Tuned roll center adjusters, SPC front and rear camber kits, and a Progress rear sway bar with an integrated rear subframe brace. Braking is handled by four-wheel anti-lock discs. The front brake calipers and brake pads were replaced in preparation for the sale, and braided stainless-steel brake lines are fitted at all four corners.
The fixed-back Sparco Evo racing seats are trimmed in black with diamond-quilted inserts and are joined by split-folding individual rear seats trimmed in black leather with perforated inserts. Appointments include automatic climate control, cruise control, all-weather floor mats, and a CD/cassette stereo with a six-disc in-dash changer linked to a seven-speaker Bose sound system. Wear is visible on the glovebox door.
The Alcantara-wrapped factory steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an 8,100-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. A Defi oil pressure gauge is mounted atop the dash. The digital odometer indicates 127k miles.
The 2.4-liter K24A2 inline-four was retrofitted circa 2016 and includes the following modifications:

- Hytech low-cavitation oil pump
- Hytech baffled oil pain
- RBC intake manifold
- Hondata insulated intake manifold gasket
- Fujita cold air intake
- Invidia race header and Q300 exhaust

The battery and serpentine belt were replaced in preparation for the sale, and photos of compression test results are presented in the gallery.
Power is sent to the front wheels through an Exedy lightweight flywheel, a Clutchmasters FX400 clutch, and a six-speed manual transaxle featuring an Acura TSX sixth gear and a Wavetrac limited-slip differential.
The Carfax reports no accidents or other damage and lists one-owner history in California from new.
The car failed its most recent California emissions test in June 2018, and was most recently registered in 2019. It cannot be sold to a private party in California.
