This 2015 BMW i8 was purchased new by the owner in California and is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-three, which is paired with a six-speed automatic transaxle and works in conjunction with an electric motor featuring an integrated two-speed automatic transmission. The car is finished in Protonic Blue over Carum Spice Gray leather upholstery and equipment includes the optional Pure Impulse World package, which added 20″ light alloy wheels, LED headlights with cornering, Park Distance Control, and Harmon Kardon premium audio. Additional equipment includes Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), iDrive infotainment with navigation, and heated front seats. Work performed in April 2021 consisted of replacing the windshield, micro filters, and spark plugs, along with a brake fluid exchange. This i8 has 48k miles and is offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with manufacturer’s literature, service records, a window sticker, a clean Carfax report, and clean California title in the owner’s name.

The i8 is constructed from a mixture of aluminum and carbon fiber along with chemically hardened glass, and this example is finished in Protonic Blue (C01) with Frozen Grey accents. Exterior features include butterfly doors, LED headlights with cornering, and power-adjustable mirrors with automatic dimming. The windshield and associated seal were replaced by Stevens Creek BMW of Santa Clara, California in April 2021.

Light alloy 20″ wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza S001 tires. Standard equipment includes Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Dynamic Damper Control, and electric steering, and stopping power is provided by cross-drilled brake rotors and black-painted calipers at all four corners. A brake fluid exchange was performed in April 2021.

The cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in Carum Spice Gray leather, along with Pure Impulse package options including blue seat belts and contrast stitching, i8 door sill guards, and an Anthracite headliner. Additional amenities included heated and power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, ambient lighting, a Harman Kardon professional sound system, an alarm system, Dynamic Cruise Control, Park Distance Control, Comfort Access, an Active Driving Assistant, a head-up display, and iDrive infotainment with navigation.

The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel is equipped with paddle shifters and frames a configurable LCD display. The digital odometer indicates 48k miles.

Power comes from a mid-mounted turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-three, which works in conjunction with an electric motor to produce a factory-rated 357 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. The gas engine drives the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic transaxle, and the electric motor uses a two-speed automatic transmission to direct power to the front wheels. A leather engine cover was optioned as part of the Pure Impulse World package. The spark plugs and micro filters were replaced and an oil change was performed in April 2021.

The window sticker shows initial delivery to Stevens Creek BMW of Santa Clara, California, along with factory colors, options, and a total suggested retail price of $148,295.

The Carfax report lists no accidents or damage and displays history in California through the most recent update in September 2015.
