This Mercury Capri got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1993 Mercury Capri was registered with one owner in Iowa before it was acquired by the seller in August 2023, and it is powered by a 1.6-liter DOHC inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. The car is finished in red with a black soft top over gray cloth upholstery, and it is equipped with 14″ alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, power windows and mirrors, air conditioning, cruise control, and a cassette stereo. This Capri convertible shows 26k miles and is offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Illinois title.
The car was finished at the factory in Cardinal Red (EA), and it features pop-up headlights as well as a manually operated convertible soft top. Close-up photos of the body panels and trim are shown in the gallery below.
Alloy 14″ wheels are wrapped in 185/60 Merit XR6000 Radial GT tires. Front and rear stabilizer bars are fitted along with four-wheel disc brakes with ventilated front rotors.
The front bucket seats and the folding rear bench are upholstered in gray cloth with patterned inserts. Appointments include power windows and mirrors, cruise control, and a cassette stereo.
The leather-wrapped airbag steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 26k miles, approximately 100 of which were added by the seller.
The 1.6-liter B6D inline-four features dual overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder. Factory-rated output was 100 horsepower and 95 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the front wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery.
Manufacturer’s literature and service records are included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Iowa and Illinois with a gap in entries between 1993 and 2005.
