This 1960 Mercedes-Benz 190SL was sold on BaT in February 2021 following a refurbishment that is said to have included overhauling the engine, installing a pair of Weber carburetors, reupholstering the interior, re-chroming the brightwork, and refurbishing the brakes and suspension. Power is from a 1.9-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and the car is finished in white over red leather. Equipment includes a tan convertible soft top, 13″ steel wheels, painted hubcaps, a pushbutton radio, and a concealed Sony stereo. Work completed in August 2022 involved an oil change, a coolant flush, and the replacement of the head gasket, timing chain guides, ignition points, fuel pump, thermostat, a coolant elbow pipe, steering dampener, and the steering center drag link. This 190SL was recently acquired by the selling dealer and is now offered in Florida with a three-piece luggage set, a hardtop stand, a tool kit, an invoice for recent service, removed and spare parts, manufacturer’s literature, and a clean Ohio title.
