If you are in the market
for something unique then here it is. Not only is the Corvair
model not something you see everyday but this one has been
customized to look more like your Camaro muscle car than a classic
cruiser. The 4 door Monza body is very straight and has no
damage. It had multiple custom features that really set it
apart from just an average Corvair. It has a spoiler in both
front and rear which along with the bumper were all custom molded
in. It is coated in a cool Bolero Red with custom White SS
stripes. The door handles on the car have all been shaved to
give it a very sleek appearance. Electric door poppers are in
place and are some of the best ever produced. They were
actually made for a Brinks armored car so you know they are strong.
The front doors as well as the hood are remote operated with a
keychain to give you access to the inside. If you happen to
loose this key it is no worries because a hidden switch has been
added. In the front spoiler are custom inset turn signals
which work like new. The headlights are nicely mounted in the
correct chrome bezels which have a nice shine. The tail light
panel on this model of Corvair really has that muscle car
appearance. It is topped with some nice thin trim as well as
dual circle tail lights. Side mirrors are mounted to each side
of the car and are painted to match the car. The window trim
and windshield wipers have a nice shine and are all cleanly mounted.
The car a has a great stance and really looks cool rolling down the
road. It sits on original spoke hubcaps and wheels which are
wrapped with brand new tires.
In the rear is the 164 CI, 6 cylinder motor
which is cleanly mounted under the deck lid. It was
completely rebuilt and runs very well. The engine compartment
as well as the motor has all been finished off and painted nicely.
The 2 speed automatic transmission shifts nice and smoothly after
being entirely gone through. The brake system on the car was
entirely rebuilt and the car slows to a stop nice and quietly with
no problems. The suspension system provides a nice smooth ride
and needs nothing.
The interior of the car
is nicely completed in all Black vinyl with a few touches of custom.
The bucket seats are nice and comfortable with plenty of leg room.
The rear seat on this classic is in good shape and actually folds
down for some extra cargo space. Between the seats is a custom
console that actually houses a vintage TV. Unfortunately with
the switch to digital all of the old tvs that were in some of these
customs stopped working. However, if you wish to remove it the
console was built to be removable. The painted section of the
dash houses the AM/FM/Cassette player that delivers a nice sound.
The steering column is painted to match the car is topped with a
custom polished steering wheel. Under the hood is some extra
storage with the entire compartment being nicely finished out.
This cool car has a
great look and runs very well. You will never pull up to
another Corvair quite like it!
