This stunning 1953 DeSoto Firedome model S-22 was subjected to an
extensive frame-off restoration. This restoration was carefully
done by the previous owner, over a span of 10 years. The exterior
is finished in the period correct Slate Grey Metallic paint, with
brightwork that shines very well. Accenting the wonderful exterior
are whitewall tires.
The 160 horsepower Hemi Firedome is reported to be original to the
car. This rebuilt engine has been detailed and shows most
excellent. The exhaust, steering, braking and suspension system
have been replaced or properly rebuilt during the restoration.
The owner states that this classic DeSoto has won Best in Class at
multiple concours events; and has also won awards at DeSoto car
shows over the years.
