Take a look at this nearly all Original 1946 Lincoln Continental
Coupe brought to you by Caruso Classic Cars. This post war classic
with 65K original miles was 1 of approximately 265 cars built in
the 1946 short year of production and features the smooth running
292CI/120 HP V12 Engine with original carb & 6 volt voltage
regulator, 3 on the tree manual transmission and only 1 of 50
equipped with Overdrive. Desirable 2 Speed rear-end. Recent engine
work includes new plugs and wires, points, condensers, battery,
generator, wiring harness, electric fuel pump, coil, oil seal. New
Horn, Push button start and hydraulic windows that still work
properly. Interior is in very nice condition with front seats that
have been redone in the correct leather and whipcord and the rear
seats with armrest divider are in excellent original condition.
Wool carpeting and headliner are in excellent condition. One
repaint in factory correct burgundy is in overall good condition
with scratches and some bubbling and peeling paint on the lower
edge of the driver's side door as shown in pictures. Chrome on the
car is in mostly good condition with pitting on bumpers and trim
except for the trunk latches that were re-chromed at some point.
Undercarriage and frame are solid and shows evidence of surface
rust only as shown. Car has original ballast resistors and wide
white wall tube tires in good condition with plenty or tread. Rear
Mounted Spare tire. Instrument panel in excellent condition
although the clock needs repair and the AM radio, while operable,
needs tube replacement. Car also has a very rare factory
side-mounted OEM spotlight. Correct hood ornament and hubcaps
produced for the 1946 model year only. Vacuum automatic radio
antenna -needs to be hooked up. Working front Fog Lights. Overall,
the car is a solid quality driver that runs very well, is ready to
be enjoyed as is or as candidate for a cosmetic restoration.
Original Repair and Chassis manuals along with fender skirts and
extra chrome headlight surrounds included with sale. Car is titled
