For Sale: 1963 Dodge Power Wagon in Seekonk, Massachusetts

Vehicle Description

***THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN CONSIGNED TO THE UPCOMING BARRETT JACKSON AUCTION BEING HELD IN SCOTTSDALE, AZ JANUARY 11-19, 2020.  IT WILL BE SELLING WITH NO RESERVE ON SATURDAY JANUARY 18TH. LOT #1273 AND LOT #1273.1**

This spectacular Power Wagon has been completely restored to show quality standards. The Dodge W300 Utiline was the biggest pickup in the four-wheel drive line with a spacious 9-foot box on a 133-inch wheelbase. This is one of only 335 W300 8cyl’s built in 1963. The W300 model is seldom seen unlike the WM300 Military Type.  This Power Wagon spent its life in Arizona which is documented with a title, previous registrations and ads that are included.  As the Arizona title documents it was with the same owner for 29 years. It currently has 70,511 original miles. It was purchased in 2014 by a gentleman from Maine who did a frame off nut and bolt restoration. The restoration was completed in 2019 and has only been driven a few hundred miles since completion. It was driven on a 75 mile trip and performed great. An organized binder with restoration receipts, original Chrysler Motor Corporation brochures, owner’s manual, service manuals, extra parts and a storage cover are included. It retains most of the original sheet metal. The front fenders, rear fenders, front panel of bed and front panel of tailgate were replaced. The exterior is very straight with great gaps lines throughout. It was finished in the correct color of Pine Green code #51 which is absolutely beautiful. The paint work is high quality throughout. The front grille, mirrors, front bumper, rear bumper and wheel lips were painted a creamy white which really compliments the green color. The factory didn’t offer a rear bumper so a 1963 W300 front bumper was modified and added to improve the appearance. All of the glass, rubber seals, emblems and lights were replaced new. The truck sits on 9.00-16 LT tires which look great. The factory only offered one spare wheel and tire so another one was added to improve the appearance. The rear bed was treated with Ash wood, green steel strips and tie down hooks. The interior cabin was completely stripped and painted the body color. The rear view mirror bracket and door panels were painted white to match the exterior pieces. Everything in the interior was restored or replaced such as the headliner, sun visors, rear view mirror, gauges, dash hardware, steering wheel, door hardware, bench seat, heater box and rubber floor mats. The painted engine compartment is highly detailed throughout with many correct parts. It’s powered by the original matching numbers 318 V8 that was factory rated with 202HP. The engine was completely rebuilt and runs excellent. The engine is coupled to a 4-speed synchro-shift model 420 transmission which was standard on this model. The power is transferred to the rugged front and rear Spicer axles that are full-floating with hypoid drive for quiet operation. The POSI rear has 488 gears. A two-speed transfer case was standard on all models which allowed the driver to select two-rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive whichever suits the terrain. The frame was made strong to handle the twisting stresses of rough terrain. This frame has the original VIN stamp. The undercarriage is very nicely detailed throughout. Everything underneath has been restored or replaced including the braking and suspension components. Sold as a pair with 2017 Kawasaki Brute Force 300 ATV.
