Austin America in fantastic condition. The Austin America was
produced from 1968-1972 and was based on the Austin 1300. The
America was made exclusively for the US market and was outfitted
with a transversely mounted engine, disc brakes, and a transaxle.
This Austin America has been very well cared for over its life and
was treated to a high-quality paint job 5 years ago. The exterior
body has excellent body gaps and no signs of rust. The interior is
in excellent condition with minimal wear to the black vinyl.
Mechanically this Austin is in great condition a features a 4-speed
manual transmission. The previous owner believed that this is a
true 16,874-mile car because prior to his ownership the car was off
the road since 1976 as the last inspection stickers show on the
windshield. We can not verify this but the condition of the car
definitely supports this story.
