Vehicle Description
The GMC Truck marque first appeared at the New York Auto Show in
1912. GMC produced just 372 units that year. That was the beginning
of a much larger vision as GMC has been a leading truck
manufacturer for over 100 years. In 1916, a GMC truck crossed the
country from Seattle to New York City in thirty days. 10 years
later, a 2-ton GMC truck drove from New York City to San Francisco
in just 5 days. During the second world war, GMC produced over
600,000 trucks for use by the United States Armed Forces. GMC has
remained synonymous with the word truck and builds the best in the
business to this day.
The GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this stunning example of
a 1970 GMC 2500 Custom. The GMC received a full frame-off
restoration and is finished in an eye-catching Medium Blue and
White with a matching Medium Blue interior. The bench seat is
freshly re-upholstered and looks, killer. Along with the fresh
bench seat and painted dash, the GMC received a new Medium Blue
carpet kit.
Powering the truck is a swapped 5.3L LS engine which is controlled
from a stand-alone Fi-Tech fuel management system. The sweet
exhaust note is routed through a 2.5" exhaust with stainless steel
headers and a new air intake was also fitted to allow the Vortec
engine to breathe better. Sitting on the new 8-lug Vision wheels
this truck sure is a looker. Also new in 2021 are the 265/70/17
Corsa tires.
