Vehicle Description
Available now is this excellent 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle out of
California. Dressed in a muted yellow paint, this car has a great
body with solid floor plans, heater channels, and a factory sun
roof. The Beetle is sitting on Riviera mag wheels with new tires
and a roof rack to carry the luggage or surfboard. The VW is
powered by the single port 1600 engine mated to a 4-speed manual
gearbox and runs and drives very well. Starting production in 192,
this completely redesigned platform of the Beetle had went through
many changes to be able to compete in the North American market. A
new front suspension provided the Beetle a better ride and
handling. In doing so, the whole front end had to be widened
providing more storage capacity and more spacious interior. In 1973
the windshield was changed to comply with US safety standards.
