For Sale: 1964 Ford Falcon in Scottsdale, Arizona

Vehicle Description

This 1964 Ford Falcon convertible is powered by a 289cid V8 backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Features include a power convertible top, an AM radio with a Mercury logo, and removable rear fender skirts. Finished in Rangoon Red and equipped with a power black vinyl convertible top over a red vinyl interior, this Falcon comes with a clear title.

The exterior is finished in the original color of Rangoon Red (code J) and equipped with a black vinyl power convertible top. Features include chrome bumpers, an aluminum grille, a fender-mounted antenna, 289 engine call-out emblems, and a driver-side mirror. The seller states that surface rust is present on both rear fenders.

A set of chrome Magnum 500 wheels with chrome center caps and stainless steel trim rings is wrapped in Performer GT radial tires.

The front bench seat, rear seat, rear trim, and door panels are upholstered in red vinyl. Features include manual windows and steering, a floor-mounted manual transmission shifter, a recently repaired AM radio with a Mercury logo, and red trim. According to the seller, the driver-side rear quarter window requires adjustment.

A 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature are located ahead of the driver. With 50 miles added during the seller's two-month ownership, the odometer reads 15,697 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

The seller states that this Falcon was originally equipped with a 260cid V8 and is now fitted with a Mustang 289cid V8, which is backed by a four-speed manual transmission. The battery was replaced in September 2022 and a new fan belt was installed recently. The seller notes an oil leak at the rear of the intake manifold and fluid seepage at the transmission midseal. An oil change was completed 1,000 miles ago.

This Falcon was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by manual four-wheel drums. The seller notes the presence of rust on the inner side of the driver-side rocker panel.
