that classic pickup trucks are just getting started - and there are

HISTORY

The original K5 was a short wheelbasetruck. It was available in
1969 as 4-wheel drive only; in 1970, a two-wheel-drive model was
offered. There were four choices for power plants: the250
instraight-6, the292straight-6, the307V8, and the350V8.
The Blazer was designed and marketed to compete withInternational
Harvester Scoutand theFord Bronco. Both of these were originally
aimed at the shortJeep CJseries, which were much smaller than
other trucks. The great innovation of the Blazer was to simply
offer a shortened pickup truck, which both increased interior
space, and lowered the cost of production with a shared platform.
The Blazer quickly became popular. For the first time, it married
the off-road capabilities of the Scout with the "luxury" features
like air conditioning and automatic transmissions routinely
available on pickup trucks. By 1970, the Blazer was already
outselling both of its older rivals.Ford,Dodge, and even Jeep
would counter with similar shortened pickups, with theDodge
RamchargerandJeep Cherokee. It also came as a convertible.

Own this vintage 1973 Jimmy fora fraction of the build cost. The
cost of parts and restoration of these vehicles are increasing
daily. They are not making any more and, therefore, they are
becoming more rare by the day. Buy one complete and ensure your
investment for the future. Doing a restoration / customization
project on a Jimmy like this would cost over $5,000 not including
the vehicle itself. Don't do the work yourself, get one finished
for roughly half of the cost of building it yourself!
An excellent investment and something you can enjoy daily.
Collectible vintage vehicles have historically appreciated at a
rate greater than that stock market, gold and other arts and
collectibles as documented by many articles and auction result
tracking.
