3 Reposessions-1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442'S SOLD "AS IS"
Hello. Our credit union has recently acquired three Olds 442's due to reposession. We don't know a whole lot about these cars other than all three run, and there are a lot of spare parts included in the trunks of each vehicle. Based on what we've seen these cars go for, someone will likely get a great deal, and we thought your group of enthusiasts would appreciate us notifying you of their availability. The sale is being handled through "Dakota Adjusters" which is an auto auction company, but bids are open to the public. Please don't hesitate to contact them at the listed number with any questions. The auctions are open until 6/8/10. Pictures of the cars are available in their respective listings. I can also provide additional pictures of specific items or shots that would be of interest. To request these, please reply to the listed email address. Thank you! carrie.noe@firstdakotafcu.com, Vehicles are located in Sioux Falls, SD at Dakota Adjusters 605-338-7331 or 888-338-7331 http://www.dakotaadjusters.com/cgi-bin/admin/auction.pl

My spidy sence is tingling on this one. Check out this web address from thier "supposed" website..
https://www.virtualcu.net:8443/servl...itUnionId=2873
I know of ZERO banks that use a log on page as such ESPECIALLY an FCU.
Additionally, since when does an auction company NOT post thier PUBLIC sales on thier website??? http://www.dakotaadjusters.com/
Just beware. Something tells me these are stock photos from the interwebs.

Brian -
Yes these cars are recent cars that we repossessed from a member. We are limited on the information that we know about them due to the fact that they are repossessed vehicles. I do know that when the member brought them in a few months ago they all ran, they also ran a month ago when we moved them to Dakota Adjusters from storage.
I do plan on hopefully going out tomorrow am to take some additional pictures that have been requested. If you have any questions, I also can certainly try to find the answers for you. We do have "good" contact with the member and also the President of our Boad of Directors has looked at the vehicles and does understand classic vehicles.

Repos
I would love to answer any question that I can to help thoughs of you that are interested. I will apologize, we are a very small, closed charter credit union located in Sioux Fall, SD and our staff knowledge on vehicles is limited. Also, all repos are sold "as is" so it would be in ones best interest to check them out or hopefully find someone in the area that would be able to do so for them. Since we don't have the knowledge we decided to list them with "Dakota Adjusters" located also in Sioux Falls, SD. They are an auto auction buisness that handle's mostly repos and is open to the public for bidding. They can be contacted at 888-338-7331 or you can visit there website at www.dakotaadjusters.com scroll down and go to the link that says - "Our Dakota Adjusters Online Auto Auction" and you can scroll through the vehicles that are up for bid. If weather permits, I do plan on taking additional photos tomorrow, I will see if I can post them once I have them. This is not a SCAM - I posted these on this forum as I thought there may be some interest. Thank you!

They are located at Dakota Adjuster in Sioux Fall, SD not Rock Rapids, IA. I do not think they are one in the same.
I have to agree with you on that one...

thanks!
i will post pics as soon as i get the car back to Toronto. i fly back tomorrow morning..& car should arrive in a few weeks (i have to arrange a transport)
fyi, this car has the protect-o-plate, tic-toc tach too and an oldschool Crane Cams ignition system !
the burgundy car was too modified for my liking. J head possibly a 455.(havent run the casting # yet.) it had evidence of front end damage (shims between fenders & header panel) i couldnt get into the trunk as it was missing the lock cylinder. the car sounded awesome though..ceramic headers & a huge exhaust
the dark blue car was all original, and slightly better body (bad paint job though) the engine runs but was weak. the dash was cracked and dash fascia was peeling. brakes were sketchy lol but a good resto candidate.

A word of caution: The appraisal value looks to be decent and is good to have for insurance purposes, but if the "report" you refer to is the appraisal, I would not trust any of the information in it in regards to any evaluation of originality. The vast majority of appraisers know next to nothing about Oldsmobiles but will still tell you they do. Obviously, if the engine has been replaced (like you previously indicated) it is not "all original" by any definition.
If you'd like to post or email me (wmachine@shubes.net) the data plate and Protec-O-Plate info (pics preferred), we'll decode them for you.
A good repaint would be hard to detect if done "right", especially if if older. Could really take a trained eye to be sure.
Regardless of any of this, it is still a great looking car!

i agree as well. the appraisal is solely a gauge of the vehicle's fitness and retail worth.
i will email you the information once i get a chance!
