One last look at the '62 Chevrolet Impala SS. WCPD offered this model in both hardtop and convertible versions. In the hardtop, seven colors were available. Honduras Maroon, Ermine White, Roman Red, Satin Silver, Nassau Blue, Tuxedo Black & Anniversary Gold. The black & gold versions aren't a part of my collection, they managed to elude my purchase. For the convertible version, only four colors were offered. They were Ermine White, Honduras Maroon, Tuxedo Black and Twilight Turquoise. I have all four of these.
The one featured today is my favorite color of all the colors offered by WCPD. I believe it to be the rarest of the convertible colors. If I recall my conversation with Brian, the model was listed with only 140 examples, but less were actually offered for a variety of reasons. I am very pleased to have managed to pick one of these up from Brian, it was one of the last ones he had at the time.

Another beautiful Impala. Great shots.
Wow!!!..........another gem !!..........this was the color of my first car....thanks for the charming set John
Great photos John, of a WCPD model I don't have. Love the darker top to the lighter car color. Good to see you post two days in a row. Hope that means you're getting back to your normal self. Much respect for your contributions to the Diecast Zone.

This color really suits a convertible and it is something just a little bit different. I wish I had snagged this one from Brian myself....very nice!
John,
Your pics make it easy to convince one that that is a 1:1 Chevrolet !
The model is awesome. I've only gotten one WCPD. It's the metallic red Continental that I got from Brian at a model show here in Anaheim.
I eventually gave it to my youngest brother.

As George said: striking with the darker, metallic top to the lighter body. Particularly so in the rearview shot with top up. beautiful model and photography.
Another stunning offering from WCPD. Love the color, love the pics.
