First off, yes I know it's another '57 Chevy.  Go to any old car show and '57 Chevy's are usually in abundance.  In fact, they are so common that many "just average car people" think they are the only old car there ever was, and they've got a cult following that fuels that belief.

Most of us however, that love old cars in general tend to get bored with "another '57 Chevy".  But that doesn't mean that we don't appreciate them and their contribution to the old car hobby.  Between Franklin and Danbury Mint, they also gave all of us many '57 Chevy's to choose from.  Some were better than others depending on the opinion of the respective collector, and for me, Danbury hit a home run with theirs.  They gave us several repaints and even though it was a '57 Chevy, I never passed any of them up.  After all, if they are lined up at old car shows, I see no reason they shouldn't be lined up on my shelves too.

When this Brochure arrived, it was immediately my favorite color combination.  I see many of these at old car shows and it's the color that will attract me to them.

Danbury Mint 1957 CHEVROLET BEL AIR SPORT COUPE

One final admission, it was Danbury's '57 Chevy (blue) Bel Air Convertible that started me collecting 1:24 scale diecast.  I've never looked back.

Nice ! It's such an icon of the Fifties that it is certainly understandable there are so many real and scale ones to choose from.

When I was 12 or 13 my dad bought a used 57 Bel Air four door hardtop, Canyon Coral color. He traded it off before I had a drivers license. I've always liked them since then.
