I still remember the thrill of receiving a new Brooklin. I didn’t mind the lack of chrome detail just as I didn’t miss the chrome detail on the 1:25 AMT, SMP, and JoHan models back in the ‘50’s and ‘60’s. Here is Brooklin’s ‘54 Mercury Monterey hardtop in that delicious Lakeland Blue.

It looks great ! Mercury's were really good-looking cars in those days and Brooklin captured it well in 1/43. The color is exceptional, too.

This Merc is one of my favorite earlier Brooklins; the color suits it so well..
