As was our ritual every September, my dad and I would go to our local Chevrolet dealer, Wm. B. Bull and Sons, in the town of Lenox, Massachusetts, to view the new offerings by Chevrolet. Those were the days when even a small town could support a car dealership. Bull’s had a reputation for excellent service and customer care. My dad traded about every three years and people waited in line to buy his trades as they had been well cared for during his ownership. On a September evening in ‘64 we made our visit to see the ‘65 models. Etched in my memory is that of seeing on the showroom floor an Impala SS two door hardtop finished in that beautiful Evening Orchid Poly. Beautiful car. Much to my delight, Brooklin chose this color for its ‘65 Impala.

This is a great color for this model-I hadn't planned on adding this one because I had a version in Turquoise, but I had an opportunity to pick one up at a good price-very happy I did. It looks great.

I too have the Brooklin model. A great color. I always liked these cars from new.
IMO, one of the finest designs to ever come out of GM.

Waiting for mine. It's beautiful as it is, but with white seating and door panels as in photo #3 above it is stunning. I'd love to commission someone with a sharper eye than mine to do the job. I'd give it a go but not on a brand-new Brooklin!
I keep hoping for a 1965 Caprice, first year for this long running nameplate. Often came with a black vinyl top, the big 396CID engine and the first use of the GM Turbo 400 gearbox in a Chevy. Goldvarg or IXO maybe?
