DHL delivered my Sierra Gold Bel Air today and it’s a beauty. These pictures don’t do it justice as the color appears different in various lights. There is a slight reddish tint compared to some pictures of the actual car but on its own it is clearly identifiable as Sierra Gold. I’m pretty fussy about accuracy of colors and I find this to be close enough to be OK. The Adobe Beige is the corrrct shade and further contributes to the authenticity of the paint scheme. The paint job is flawless and has that “Magic Mirror” luster of GM’s acrylic lacquer used in those days. It’s a very pretty car. It is listed as a Brooklin Factory Special.
Here are it is with two other color schemes

I have the Sierra Gold and Adobe Beige one. I like it a lot but the Sierra Gold color is to "colorful" or intense, yes a reddish tint. As you say it's close enough.
The real color is like the picture of the real car front view with the woods in the back ground. That looks right on.
Some more pictures taken in sun light
Strange, the car looks moire red in photos than it appears to the eye.

The "too red" look has been the problem I've had with the model in every photo set I've taken. All-in-all I like the color, but it is redder than Sierra Gold should be.

@jcarnutz Sorry to see they have not updated the paint. I guess I will soldier on with the Seminole Red version.
Yes, Harv, it would have been so easy to have gotten it right in the beginning. The strange thing is that in direct sunlight it shows less red than it does in the pictures. While my two other Bel Air models roll freely, on this one the rear tires rub against the corners of the seat pan and I can’t remove the base plate as it appears glued to the body. It rolls forward in D but in R it does not back up freely. I can hear it now, “But David, these models are for display.” They are designed to roll and for $250 they well should. I was able to reattach securely the driver’s door handle. The paint job is flawless as I mentioned above and the detail is excellent. I’m delighted it’s a four door hardtop. All in all, it’s a nice model. I would love to see another color scheme, done correctly, of course, but that may be too much to hope for

I also agree with you that these models should be able to roll.
