Any other members have this color?
I was dead set on a black interior and this was literally the only one with under 30k miles on it. I believe they (CarMax) had four others but with tan interior. I will say, it has definitely grown on me in these first 3k miles. Especially since I got 35% all the way around. My intention long term / when my run flats wear out is to go with some sort of black factory 18 or 19 wheel. |

Ours is Orion Silver with the Venetian Beige leather interior, one of the few we could find without a black interior!
Enjoy the new ride!

Was very hesitant going in but had a pleasant experience.
Their inventory is cream of the crop low mileage vehicles. Period. Their no haggle pricing is bang on with the market. You can get the same vehicle at a dealer for a couple grand more if that makes you feel good but is that really worth it? Obviously CPO is worth something but my car still has 20k of factory warranty left so that wasnt an issue for me. |

Orion Silver F30
Around here, light-colored interiors alone are scarce. The combo of gold (aka "orion silver metallic") and cream is rarer still. Everybody seems to want a black interior -- crazily: The climate is one of the hottest and nastiest in America.
Anyway, here's two pics of my new-to-me 2015 F30, sitting on the lot on a gray rainy day the week before I bought it. My phone made the car look more silver, but it's quite an obvious gold: |

I just got mine in December. It's a CPO F31 xDrive Luxury. The only thing it doesn't have is the headlights which I'm not too worried about. I also have the Venetian interior.

No shady business from them, but they as a whole are far from experts in the European world. |

I also bought my car for 20k. I could have bought the same model at BMW dealer for 23k-25k but I pride myself on being a financial genius and buying anything directly from BMW is ignorant, ESPECIALLY a used vehicle. That was the point I wad trying to get across. They sell lightly used, excellent condition used vehicles. Cream of the crop auction vehicles. Obviously BMW keeps the ones that are easiest to CPO and rip people off on. The rest go to the next biggest pocket - CarMax. Unfortunately the guy at the corner who has a swath of luxury cars gets third pick. CarMax is buying tens if not hundreds of cars in each swing. Called buying power and definitely gets passed to the customer. I shopped hard (financial genius). |

^ I dont want to insinuate that you cant lose at CarMax. The one I went to south of Sacramento (near Elk Grove) had a massive and clean inventory of cars and low pressure sales people. It was a great experience for me but thats not to say every store in America is the best way to buy a car. For me it definitely was though.

1: They had just received the car we wanted on trade: Requirements Diesel X5 with DA+, comfort seats, black int and Glacier/Alpine exterior. (Build CWP, DAP, DA+, Lux Seats, HK, Lighting Pkg, Prem Pkg, Glacier/Schwarz) 2: It had always been serviced at the selling dealer and was a local car, with a single owner. 3: My wife liked it, and we were in a position where we needed something ASAP. Sure we "may" have "overpaid" by 2k or so, but the known history and convenience factor easily makes up for that. Quote:

Carmax does not have buying power/advantage. They have selling power due to volume, network, marketing, etc so can make less per car than some smaller dealers. They are also capitalizing on oddball cars that go for good "deals" in the auction. Last edited by AlpineX; 03-29-2019 at 09:41 AM.. |

When I first started looking at BMWs, I was not averse to the idea of a wagon, esp. if I could have found a diesel. A glamorous workhorse! |
