Techno Violet not available

So, my alternatives for my 2016 M3 are Daytona Violet or Velvet Blue.
Both are hot colors.

My question is, which is closer to Techno Violet?

To me, Daytona looks to have a little red in it under bright sunshine but is a beautiful dark purple under cloudy or evening skies.

I have seen pictures of Velvet Blue and it sometimes looks like a dark blue and sometimes has purple in it.

I think I have a solid feel as to what DV looks like but am not as comfortable with what VB looks like. So again, which do y'all think is closer to TechnoViolet? Your responses may impact my build!

Thanks!

Daytona of course. I own a Techno Violet E36 M3 and under no circumstances does it ever look like a blue car. Either either purple or almost black at night.

Daytona is a bit lighter than Techno, but easily the closest to what's available out there. Violet Blue is way more blue than purple, whereas Daytona and Techno will always be purple rather than blue.

Hope this helps. Both great choices though

I'll post some photos of my Daytona Car after I collect it at BMW Welt in early April.

The more I looked at my E34 M5 after I bought it, the more I became convinced it was the ONLY choice for my next M car, which will be an F80 M3.

Please tell me you still have this car and that you'll take many pics of the two Daytona beasts side by side!

Yes, and that is certainly part of my plan.
This old school M car and the controversial turbo will live side by side.

Is there an even darker shade that's basically similar to Azurite Black with a purple hue that anyone knows of?

That's what I want for my next individual order.

That or somethings similar to "Midnight Emerald" Bentley GT color (same thing but Green).

Ruby black perhaps?

Is this the car with the cloth tornado seats? I think we met at bimmerfest and/or eurofest few years back, eh?

Awesome that you'll have 2 daytona cars

Owning a Daytona Violet F80, I can tell you it is amazing on this car. Velvet blue is blue, with a little purple in the right light. Daytona is much closer to Techno. Go daytona, but then again I'm biassed... Pics in the attached link.

Great, so you are confirmed then? Don't be surprised if you get the delivery manager in the Welt. She went out of her way to make sure she personally delivered my car. "I've been waiting 5 years for someone to get a DV car."

I'm not interested in any aftermarket paint. What a way to devalue your car!

Sure, any shop will spray your car for a price.

Go Purple Silk Metallic. It is a Rolls-Royce color but since it was already done, it should be easy to request and get approved.

This is a seriously gorgeous color!!!!!!
