The 49th gathering in Forest Grove saw over 5,000 spectators come together to celebrate classic cars under the trees at Pacific University.

A 1932 Chrysler Imperial CL LeBaron Convertible owned by Larry Nannini from Pine Grove, California took home the coveted Best in Show trophy at the 49th Forest Grove Concours d’Elegance. The elegant maroon classic was one of 300 classic and sports cars displayed on Sunday July 16th.

The Concours celebrated 70 years of Corvette, 100 years of MG, and Lancia. The crowds flocked around the feature classes all day, with an amazing array of sports and classic cars on display.

Best Classic Car was awarded to John VanSpeybroeck for his 1940 Packard 1803 160 two-door convertible. The best Non-Classic car trophy was taken home by David Smith for his 1958 Mercedes-Benz 300SL roadster. The Best Open Car was awarded to Paul Tullis for his 1925 Lancia Lambda Casaro. The Best Closed Car trophy was handed to Robert Piacentini for his 1959 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Zagato.

The featured collector at the Concours was Portland area car collector Larry Vollum. With a focus on rally cars from the 80s and 90s, Mr. Vollum’s cars on display included a 1993 Lancia Delta Integrale and a 1998 Renault Sport Spyder,

On Sunday, July 15th, over 40 classic cars participating in the Sunday Concours toured on the scenic back roads of Washington County during the Vineyard Tour. The tour finale was lunch at Terra Vina Winery, where Tour Trophies were presented. The Vineyard Tour was sponsored by 503 Motoring.

All proceeds from the Forest Grove Concours d’Elegance fund Rotary Club scholarships and community programs in Forest Grove, Oregon. The Concours was founded in 1973, and continues to this day thanks to Rotary Club members, volunteers, and the car owners that display their classic automobiles at the event. The Presenting Sponsor of the 2023 Forest Grove Concours was Jaguar Land Rover Portland.

The 50th annual Forest Grove Concours d’Elegance is scheduled for Sunday, July 21st at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon.
