Took Delivery Today - G80 M3 Frozen Pure Grey II / Fiona Red

It finally arrived! And it was snowing today before I went to pick it up. The tech is mind blowing in this car (first BMW), and this color looks amazing in person! No regrets. Received our allocation in September, cost was at MSRP. Frozen Pure Grey II exterior and Fiona Red extended leather interior. Love contrast of the paint and CF roof with the black rims and extended shadow line trim. Going to get tint next week!

I was absolutely in love with Frozen Pure Grey II but was given so much advice to steer clear because of longevity of it looking “frozen” for so long and upkeep for perfection (stone chip and dent repair). Do you plan on doing any wrap? Your picture definitely makes me jealous! I opted for Skyscraper on my order solely for the maintenance of the paint job.
And, absolutely agree with you on the contrast of the frozen against the shine and darkness of any of the trim (CF or black). Great build!

Don’t sweat it. Maintaining frozen is not rocket science. It’ll keep the satin look till the wheels fall off, as long as you have the right washing method.

OP, such a great color, congrats! Dr Beasley’s is your best friend now. Spend some time on this site.

Congrats! Hope to see your car around the area....still not that many of us. I wonder how many 6MT's Kuni has delivered from that delivery bay between mine (March of '21) and yours.

Thank you, I’m going to order some Dr Beasley’s products for matte paint now! I was a bit concerned about going with Frozen paint so I have done tons of research, I’m sure it will be fine.

You’re welcome! Spread that frozen knowledge and that experience. Too cool of a finish not to enjoy.

Pro tip: don’t “rub” the paint, and you’ll be fine.

Thank you! I went through the same thought process, ordered Skyscraper, changed to Frozen Gray, and tried to switch back but it was too late, lol. I have been struggling with the PPF decision, but not planning to do it.

Car looks great. Can you post more interior pictures of the Fiona red seats please? I recently put an order for an M3 and I selected the Fiona red option as well. I just wanted to make sure the color is more of a clay red than a bright red.

Thanks in advance

I wish I knew too, I’d guess not many. Most orders seem to be auto, and there are so few G80’s in this area in general!

I’ll try and get some more photos later with natural light. I was worried about that, seeing the interior in person is so much better. Hard to get a sense of the color in photos. I’m very happy with how it turned out, wouldn’t want any other color.

UPDATE, I changed my mind. Going to PPF the whole front. I found some bad scratches on the front bumper I somehow missed at the dealership yesterday. It looks like it drove through some brush, or a traffic cone, or scraped something and now I’m nervous about the durability of this matte paint! I know I didn’t cause this driving home and just sitting in my garage!!

That is not the reason I would have wanted to have for changing my mind! I am over the moon with the look of that frozen paint but this is precisely what scares me the most about it. I’m an absolute picky person with the paint and I have kids that I would even be nervous of walking past with bookbags because of small scratches from zippers.
As much as I would love seeing more pictures of that paint/your car, that was not the pic I would have hoped for!

The car looks amazing, congratulations! I am sorry to see this scratch . I also got the frozen pure grey, and I also did not plan to PPF, only Beasleys's ceramic coat and careful care. I changed my mind after owning it for 1 week and counting 3 tiny rock chips. I figured if those hardly noticeable chips bothered me, it was going to impact my ability to drive the car like I want. I PPF'd the entire car LOL

But now, I don't worry at all, I just drive the heck out of it and love every second of it knowing it's much less likely i'm going to damage the paint.
