Huge amounts of cash were put into this EJ8, and the result is a near-perfect “Type R” sedan.

Honda-Tech’s Marketplace has some pretty amazing things for sale. Sometimes you’ll find a daily driver for a nice price, sometimes you’ll find parts you’ll need to upgrade your current car. Then sometimes you’ll find a build that really sets the bar for cleanliness. This EJ8 sedan is one such car, and it is not just your ordinary K20 swap. In fact, it has thousands of dollars poured into it with essentially all new parts.

Forum member PACMANK20 is selling a K20 swapped EJ8 that has a huge list of parts. Power comes from an RSX Type R K20 which is fully stock. Additional parts on the engine include a K-tuned wiring kit, 76 mm throttle body, Ktuned fuel rail, Walbro 255 fuel pump, Hondata Kpro V4 ECU and custom three-inch intake. In all, about 50,000 miles are on the engine. It’s nothing wild, but the rest of the car also has parts that back up the stout performance of the stock unit.

This EJ’s handling is complimented by just about every known mod available for it. JIC coilovers are on all four corners, with ASR supplied rear control arms and sway bars. The front control arms are sourced from a 2000 Civic Si. Spring rates front and rear are 12K and 10K respectively. Suspension bracing in this car is almost over-the-top. There’s a JDM Password rear X brace, a Type R front strut brace, Ultra Racing front upper Chassis bar, and an ASR rear brace.

Power to the ground it sent through a staggered setup. Bridgestone Potenza RE-71 tires are 225/45-17 front and slightly narrower 215/45-17 rear. They are mounted on Volk Transcend 17×8.5 rims on all four corners. The front rims house 329mm S2000 spec upgraded brakes. A GSR setup is out back.

You can’t do all of that work without sprucing up the driving experience, so the interior is also thoroughly done up as well. Recaro Pole Position seats sit on Buddy Club seat rails, and the driver gets an OMP steering wheel. Visually, the outside is relatively tame. A Spoon front lip and Mugen rear wing in carbon fiber contrast the Taffeta white.

The price of this car might raise some eyebrows. At $16,000, it isn’t cheap, but the parts list alone would add up very quickly. And this one is already screwed together. It certainly caught our attention of cars in our marketplace that stand out.
