Elderly woman killed in hit and run at Park Plaza Mall

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — The Little Rock Police Department is currently investigating a hit and run on 79-year-old Gayle Sipes at the Dillard's entrance of Park Plaza Mall just before 3:30 p.m. on April 17th.

MEMS arrived at the scene to transport the victim, but she succumbed to her injuries.

Park Plaza released a statement on the incident:

“Our deepest sympathies go out to the individual and their family. We are fully cooperating with law enforcement on this investigation and have provided them with access to our security footage. The safety of our guests remains our top priority."

An investigation is currently ongoing.
