Abstract

E. Barreiros developed his extraordinary automotive activity from 1951, when he began converting petrol engines to diesel, through to 1969, when he sold his big company to Chrysler. In the 80s, he initiated a second industrial venture producing diesel engines in Cuba. This article is an extract from the book Barreiros. Historia completa by the same author, which will be published this year.
