I’ve owned this 1969 duet for over 20 years. I used it for a few summers as a daily driver until on a high-speed highway romp in 2003, it blew head gasket. It still ran, and ran well, but I parked it in a corner of my shop until I could get around to repairing it. Then life happened, and here we are in 2024. The Duetto Spider will come with a spare used engine, spare used transmission, and spare used rear axle. There is a small box of other parts, including a second mechanical fuel injection unit. This spider handled quite well, but it has significant rust and will need rocker panels, front nose work, etc., to be brought back to perfect. I think the original seats are under the seat covers, but have not checked. The dash shows ageing cracks. The front end and front fenders show amateur Bondo repairs, and they do look amateur! The car has good bones, though, and should prove a good financial opportunity, considering how much these have appreciated over recent years. I haven’t even tried to start the car since it was parked 20 years ago. It had been repainted from white to black at some point in its history. The Duetto is located in Salt Lake City, and would need to be shipped or towed.
