Description:
Very nice 1-owner 1994 Firebird Formula. I came across this car being sold in a local estate sale and had to buy it to keep it in the F-body community. Truly what I would call a “survivor” car. 100% stock, never modified, original engine/transmission, life-long garage kept and highly maintained. Rare Grey-Purple Metallic (2.8% of 1994 Firebirds, code 91U) paint and approximately 1 of 257 Formulas in 1994 made in this color. The car has 96k miles on it and every single thing on the car works (and well). Cold A/C, hot heat, cruise control, power windows/locks. Zero electrical issues, no opti/ignition problems, no slop in the steering, no worn tilt steering column pins, no mechanical noises, no SES or dash lights on, no creaks/rattles, door seals don’t leak, doors shut very well/tight (no sagging hinges), tail lights are not delaminating/faded, etc.. The car runs and drives extremely nice and does not have any of the “normal” 4th gen F-body issues. It honestly drives almost as nice as my 16k mile Firehawk.
The car is extremely clean and has all original paint. A few of the key highlights:
- 1994 Firebird Formula
- True 1-owner vehicle (ordered new)
- 96k miles
- Hardtop
- Grey Purple Metallic (91U)
- Light grey cloth interior
- Automatic transmission
- 1SB option package
- No accident or damage history
- Never driven between October-May (owner lived in Florida during the winter) – Absolutely ZERO rust on the underside of the body
- Non-smoker vehicle
- 100% original with exception of wear items (pads, rotors, etc…)
- Original LT1 engine
The car has some small aesthetic defects expected from a car of this age/use; however, it’s in much nicer condition than many of the significantly lower mileage cars I’ve seen/owned. The front bumper cover is the worst part of the car with many stone chips and wear. I might normally paint this, but I’ll leave it to the next owner to decide if they want to keep it original or paint it. The tires have good tread and are not cracked; however, they are almost 10 years old and should be replaced. As with the front bumper paint, I’ve decided to not replace the tires since the new owner might want to change out the wheels for a better looking set and keep the original stock Pontiac “swirl” wheels with these tires.
I’ve owned over 80 LT1 F-bodies and this one is one of the best I’ve had. Really cool car and unbelievably clean/detailed
GLWTS. I'd rock that car if it was in FL and I had a spot. Whoever buys it I hope leaves it stock.

It’s a 3.23 gear car with the 155mph speedo.
Great to hear from you and I hope all is well!

It's just a cool color and from my memory pretty rare! I wouldn't change a thing other than new tires and if it hasn't been done already probably just fluid changes and go cruising.
I will be up your way in about 5 months to visit friends and family. With Covid winding down (hopefully!!!!) maybe I can get a glimpse of that Firehawk! You've got my number!

Truly a rare fine (condition, ownership, color)!
I guess that’s why I end up buying so many “project” cars. Cars that I’m not afraid to lose the value or condition if I drive them.
Anyhow, it’s a gorgeous car! I would love to have it in my collection. I’m at capacity right now however, if that changes, I’ll be reaching out to you.
Good luck with the sale!
