Mustang GT
The 1967 Mustang GT was a special options package which could be added to any of the V8 engine offerings in 1967 with dual exhaust. And it was required with the 271hp 289ci Hi-Po V8. Other features included; grille mounted fog lamps, power front disc brakes, F70x14 tires, GT gas cap, the 1967 Handling Package, rocker panel stripe, and a GT emblem. The Handling Package consisted of higher rate springs and shocks with a larger front stabilizer bar. For an extra $388 you could add the Competition Handling Package available only for the GT. It consisted of even firmer suspension, limited slip rear end, and 15 inch wire wheels.

Take a look at this Burnt Amber 1967 Mustang GTA hardtop owned by Steijvers from Helmond Holland! It still has the original 390ci engine in it. This was the biggest engine you could get in the 1967 Mustang. Steijvers has owned it since August 2007. He bought it in Alabama (US) and had it shipped to Holland. Steijvers is interested in getting in contact with other GTA 390 owners.

This Nightmist Blue 1967 Mustang GT white vinyl top hardtop owned by Ken Davies of Beaumont, Alberta, Canada was our Attitude Of The Week for September 28th, 2008. Ken writes: I acquired this car on Father's Day, 2008. It was imported to Canada from Portland, Oregon. The original color was Springtime Yellow. It originally had 289 2V, and now has rebuilt 289 (approx 1000 miles) with Edelbrock aluminum intake, Carter AFB Competition 4 bbl carburetor, and a Duraspark II ignition."

Here is a rare one. It's a Lime Gold 1967 Mustang GTA coupe. There is a GTA emblem on the front fender behind the front wheels. The GTA is a GT optioned Mustang with an Automatic transmission. GTA designations were only available in 1967. Factory options include: closed crankcase emission system, exhaust emission control, GT equipment group, C-6 Select Shift Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission, Equa-Lock differential, rocker panel molding, upper and lower console, Deluxe steering wheel, power steering, Tilt-Away steering wheel, Selectaire air conditioning, AM/FM radio, exterior decor group, interior decor group, tinted glass, Deluxe seat belts, and styled steel wheels

Wimbledon White 1967 Mustang GT hardtop owned by John P from California. It has it's original 390ci 4V engine and a manual transmission. John tells us more, "This car was purchased in 2007 in about 200 pieces from Southern Cal, for a modest $6400. It has taken until now to get it to the condition it is in. I am planning to paint it back to the factory Lime Gold color. Funny thing is, when I brought it home and checked the VIN - there is only a difference of 43 compared to my other Mustang's VIN."

Randy tells us more, "This 67 HCS GT fastback when delivered with it's options made it a 1 of 1 (Marti report). The only fastback GT HCS with a standard 3 speed transmission and Aspen Gold. Now it enjoys a late model AOD [Automatic Over Drive], AC, power steering, and power front disk brakes. Its not a race horse but a nice weekend driver - never restored but maintained, but with a 3:55 rear end gear and 70 mph it still gets close to 19 mpg!!!!!."

Check out this awesome blue 1967 Mustang GT convertible. The owner tells us, "If you are looking for an all-stock and original car, this is not it. Or if you are looking for an over-the-top street car that gets tons of attention, Here it is. They body of this Mustang is very solid through-out, floors, trunk, doors and the frame. The dark metallic blue paint with withe stripes is beautiful and laser straight - color sanded and polished to a mirror finish. The painted-to-match original hood comes with the car. As you can see, trunk lid and spoilers have been added as a few other goodies have been added. The black interior is very clean as well. Door panels, carpet, dash, and center console are all in very nice condition. After-market gauges have been added to monitor this Bad Boy. This car as been gone through from one end to the other. We do not have receipts for the build, but any car enthusiast can see the time and big $$$ that have been invested. So if you don't want to spend a considerable amount of time and $$$ building a classic Mustang, this car is ready for the show or shine this summer. We have classic car financing available. Nightmist Blue 1967 Mustang GT hardtop owned by Dennis Brennan East Norriton, Pennsylvania. This GT has its original S-code 390ci V8 engine and a manual transmission. It's our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting September 7, 2014. Dennis tells us, "I am the third owner. Owner #2 bought it in 1969. It was a daily driver until late 70s. He then parked it in his barn until the late eighties. It then had a complete restoration; floors, panels, trunk, engine rebuild, and interior. Since then, it has only left the barn for a few shows. The second owner was a good friend of mine. He passed away unexpectedly five years ago. The Mustang has sat covered in the barn until I purchased it from his widow. Due to sitting so long, it has developed a few oil leaks which we plan to take care of shortly. Otherwise, it runs great and is a blast to drive."

Wimbledon White 1967 Mustang GTA hardtop owned by Rob Golley from Tasmania, Australia. It has the 396ci V8 engine and the automatic transmission. The 'A' in GTA is for the GT with the Automatic transmission. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting September 21, 2014. Rob tells us more, "I purchased this great S code genuine GTA in Wimbledon White with lovely 2D classic red interior. The original engine has been fully rebuilt and upgraded by FE Specialties who specialize in these big blocks. Bored to 396 ci, balanced, blue printed, bench run-in, and tuned. Comp CamShelby Hi rise manifold, ported and matched,650 Holly, Petronix 11. electronic ignition, ceramic coated try headers, polished Holly fuel pump, chrome rocker covers and air cleaner, twin exhaust system with free flow mufflers, 4 row radiator to keep all cool. The engine bay was stripped, painted, and detailed during the engine rebuild. The interior was completely retrimmed throughout with new seat cushions etc. new dash bezel and Green LCD leash lights when fitted inside the original blue dash light covers a lovely blue light is produced. Much easier to see the dash. Dash being Genuine GTA with Equipment Group option also has 6000 RPM Tachometer and centre clock which has been now fitted with quartz movement for accurate time keeping. The original radio was FM radio which was replaced with a Classic Retro Sound Radio with Ipad/phone connectivity, blue tooth amp and 4 retro speakers two are in parcel shelf and two are concealed above the transmission tunnel facing down. This was a 11 hour custom fit and produces a superb but very loud classic sound. The front suspension has been renewed and fitted with all new components including comfort shocks and new marginally lower front springs. Rear springs have been reset, a new 5th leaf added, and again comfort shocks fitted. Outside is nice and straight Wimbledon White paint with all new chrome bumpers and bright work. New Scott Drake remote exterior drivers and passenger mirrors have also been fitted. All glass is original with original optioned green tinted windows. Steering was the fast 16:1 ratio without power steering. Lots of feel on the road but was far was pleasant on our challenging drivers roads of Tasmania. Not wanting to change the essence or originality, the rack and pinion was passed up and an American Borgusen power steering 16:1 ratio was sourced along with a chrome Saginaw power steering pump and a full set of billet Aluminum double pulleys sourced from Summit Racing. New door rubbers and doors fully rebuilt with new window mechanisms, felt tracks and quarter vent rubbers, repinned door hinges and springs/cams. Work has started on full sound insulation (Resomat) throughout with only the trunk being completed to date. Full under carpet plus additional sound insulation will be undertaken shortly including inside of doors and under door panels to keep road noise and other noises confined to the outdoors. With Resomat it is expected that exterior noise will remain outside. New original styled wheels were ordered from the States in 15x7 for the front fitted with 225x60 and the rears with 235x60 BFG white letter tires. The remarkable Mustang is an absolute pleasure to drive and turns heads wherever it goes. It really is a classic muscle car and always work in progress which of course is great fun to work on."
