Thumbs up For Sale: 1947 Ford Super Deluxe $4800

All original, numbers matching, straight six flathead. Frame is clean. Very rare!!! Been in a barn since 1976. I will keep it on here for a week before I put it on Ebay.

I doubt this post will last a week here, seeing as to how this is a Porsche 928 forum and all that...

Wasn't this thread closed earlier today or am I a clairvoyant?

Yes,
I closed it and reposted as I didn't post the price originally and couldn't go back in to edit for some reason...

wouldn't that be cool with a 928 running gear,or at least motor! I would like to rod a 50's F100 someday and am thinking a 928 engine would be cool. Oh hell, now I am thinking again!

If that is actually a '47, it is a really rare, very early one. There were only a very few '47s built that still had the '46 parking lights. Almost all '47s had the small round parking lights under the headlights.

That was 'real steel' in them thar fenders! In fact in the whole car. I had a 49 Pontiac Coupe that I drove from Montreal back to school in Santa Monica in 1970...Quite a trip!
It was a hoot to drive around Hollywood, etc. Not so much fun on the Interstates though...
