DESCRIPTION: Very rare color tabletop or vacuum tube clock radio manufactured by Philco in 1955-1956 time frame. The combination of boxy proportions with a sweet dial light and large tuning dial.

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.

CABINET CONDITION: Tabletop countertop vacuum tube AM radio manufactured by Philco in very good physical and excellent working condition. Has cracks, edge chips, but no major scratches! All original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted. No over spray. Not touched up. Cabinet is original molded green color plastic. Tuning back panel a replacement in very good condition. 

KNOBS: Original matching volume and tuning knobs are in excellent condition and securely attached. Large tuning knob is in excellent condition with center white plastic disc intact not missing. Usually this center disc is missing. Tuning knob attach post has been repaired and is solid. Volume knob is original and in excellent condition and securely attached.

LOGO: Missing logo badge. The front bottom

DIAL LIGHT: Has dial light, lights up brightly.

SPEAKER: Original 4" speaker.

CLOCK: None.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt or replaced to ensure static free performance. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.  

POWER CORD: The brand new replacement cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent condition with no breaks, not dried, not brittle. No exposed wiring.

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: Factory labels present, readable, water stained missing corners and some material.

PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets.

BACKING BOARD: Backing board has some discoloration and water marks.
